TESTIMONIALSWhat our residents, friends and relatives have to say...
The genuine care staff show for mum is far above the “call of duty”. Often when we visit, there is someone sitting with mum, doing paperwork or some other task, which could easily be done elsewhere. They choose to do it where they can keep mum company, which is really nice.
When mum was really poorly a few weeks ago, the genuine concern of the staff was very touching and you get a strong impression that it is not just a job for them.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
The atmosphere at Bernadette House is what matters, and that’s down to the people who work there – they are genuinely caring. it was the right place for our parents – the three years they lived there until they died were characterised by much love, patience and thoughtfulness from the staff. As a visiting family, we also felt very much supported and cared for by everyone.
Attended an Easter Party. Staff were caring, friendly and some came in on their day off to help. Lovely buffet for all. Out friend had lunch another day, three courses on proper china plates. Our friend is looking forward to summer to sit in the gardens. They spend sunny days playing games outside. we took him out the other day and he was dressed lovely, shaved and ready for the time we said. He has put on weight and looks well and says he is happy.
The care staff are friendly and helpful. The chef always makes sure there is vegetarian food for me. Staff are wonderful.
When my Mum went into Bernadette House, this was the first experience of the care home environment for both of us, and the staff at Bernadette House could not have made it any easier for both of us.
Mum was a resident for 9 months and in all that time, the care she received continued to be excellent.
The staff are very helpful and made sure that Mum’s dietary needs (lots of fish!) were catered for on a daily basis. The management team were also very responsive to any queries that I raised.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We have been asked for input with regard to the care plan. An Easter party was arranged and attended by family. It was really lovely. The home is in the process of being redecorated – the rooms already done are lovely. The meals all home cooked and choice is given. The staff go that extra mile to help residents make the transition between home and Bernadette House. The home does not smell. They welcome my children and the dog too.
