Residents and their families and friends enjoyed a fabulous Platinum Jubilee party in the gardens of Bernadette House. Residents decorated the home and gardens with jubilee bunting and flags and decorated cakes with corgis, flags and crowns. A singer performed songs from across the decades of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign as everyone tucked into the bar-b-que.

Nigel – “I remember watching the coronation of television and there were lots of street parties.”
Christine – “I watched the coronation at a street party. There was a wonderful community feel.”
Betty – “I was on duty at the hospital. We watched it on television with the patients in black and white. The Queen looked very beautiful.”
